Pavonian Stasis Pods - From Rebirth from Ruin?

This is from my story, Rebirth from Ruin? But as of October 12th, 2017, I haven't yet reached the part where these pods are introduced.

They are found aboard an ancient starship that has been dubbed the Sarandra of Ene by my group of heroes, the Enega Warriors. The thing about this starship, is that it was built eons ago, by a people who supposedly hadn't mastered space travel yet, and with "technology" beyond what the people supposed had. It was rumored to just be a story. Of course this starship was found by accident!

The ship was built by one of the Enega, the orders of warrior-priestesses who fought for the Goddess Ene ("Enagi.") The "Last Enagi" was long thought to be Dorotea Pikaku. Her grand-daughter, Katherine Ene Pikaku, became the first "New" Enagi. Aboard the Sarandra of Ene, she spoke with various spirits, who, for all purposes, are basically the "main computer" of this starship (which also DOES NOT use any kind of conventional warp drive or thrusters). Parts of the starship were locked, Katherine had to prove herself as a worthy Enagi to unlock areas, and features. The ship went to Pavonia, to pick up a large PAVFOR (PAVonian FORces) contingent, a "77 Nation Army", to go free Earth (long story).

Supposedly, a good deal of those who were aboard the ship originally were killed by one of them who went insane and on a killing spree, and was put into a different kind of stasis. But she was discovered and released.

Later on, when Katherine completed yet another of the tests, in some rooms, these pods appeared. Mostly on the floor, but there's also wall an ceiling mounted variations. Turns out that there were Enagi left who decided to become "frozen", lest they should be needed in the future. It's mostly female Enagi in the pods, but some do have men, mostly ingi, husbands of Enagi who fought at their side.

So now, the pod itself. The outermost layer resembles an onion. It retracts when the awakening process begins. The second layer resembles a flower, with tubes attached to holes in the petals. The tubes disconnect, and eventually rectract, as the "flower" opens. Inside is...an egg. Of pressurized foam and gel. The final process involves the egg "hatching", for lack of a better term.

The women, for their "hibernation", normally wore saiayötae, or nightdresses. The men instead just wore lele, or sarongs (it would have been too cliché, and "out of character", or more accurately "out of culture" to use either underwear, a bikini, a leotard, or unitard, as the choice for what to wear while "asleep" here)
